Description

“Hekate Soteira”, or “Hekate the Savior”, is a fiercely protective form of Hekate. This image honors Her as the Giant Slayer, aiding Zeus in the Gigantomachy where She immolated the giant Klytios with Her twin torches. Gaia, seen at the bottom of the frame, bore the monster Typhon in anger of the defeat of Her children, a destructive force that Zeus subdued after a long battle. Her savior powers extended into Byzantium where She aided the people from Philip of Macedonia by creating a light in the Night sky and bidding all the dogs to howl and bark. They commemorated Her with coins struck with the star and crescent, one of Her most ancient symbols.

This is printed on high quality 8.5×11 photopaper.
